First Comes Love . . .

. . . then comes marriage. I've known as much since first grade when I twittered it lustfully at Garrett Macintosh on the playground, but I never thought it would happen to me — in fact, most of my life, I hoped it wouldn't.

But eight months ago, blissfully single, drinking boxed wine, subsisting solely on Ramen noodles and dreams, I was swept off my feet. I fell in love with a boy named Nathaniel. And as of last Tuesday, after the world's most magical proposal, we're now blissfully engaged. (Still drinking boxed wine and subsisting on Ramen noodles and dreams, of course.)

So when my Writing for New Media professor asked the class to create and maintain blogs for the duration of the quarter, I knew exactly my topic. Let's face it — planning this wedding promises all of the drama of a good soap. There's inherent conflict, great characters (if I do say so myself), and a fairy tale ending built in.

Here goes everything . . .
